Nature as a still point – and a starting place for new visual worlds.

For me, photography is both observation and meditation. In my nature photographs I find inspiration and

an inner stillness that sustains my artistic work. Whether macro details of blossoms, vast landscapes, or surfaces of water – the camera reveals a multitude of structures and forms. These observations are the foundation of my analogue and digital works. They create the transition between reality and imagination, between documented nature and transformed visual worlds.

The metamorphosis of naturalistic painting to analogue and digital abstraction

I spend a lot of time in nature and capture my impressions photographically. I paint the subjects from nature in acrylic and oil on canvas. Guided by photography, I immerse myself meditatively in the image and seeking my own structures. This way, there are always new details for the viewer to discover. From the naturalistic painted image, I derive analogue and digital abstractions. This aims a thematic content for a dialogue between humans and technology.
