Nature is not an opposite to technology for me, but the starting point of an ongoing process of observation. In landscapes, water surfaces, plants and the smallest structures, I encounter rhythms, orders and processes of constant change. I am less interested in the motif itself than in what happens when scale, time or perspective shifts. A detail can become a landscape, a surface can become space, a movement can become structure. The familiar begins to shift, opening up other ways of seeing. Photography captures these observations. Painting and digital technologies carry them further, transforming, condensing and translating them into different states. Nature and technology are not opposites. Between them, new visual spaces emerge in which observation and construction increasingly begin to merge.
