About the Artist
Christoph Pauschenwein creates visual worlds situated between the observation of nature, digital construction and painterly transformation. His works explore the tension between micro and macro, order and chance, organic growth and technological precision.
The starting point of his practice is often the observation of natural processes. Structures, movements and patterns of growth are not documented directly but translated into independent visual systems.
The resulting images appear both familiar and unfamiliar — suspended between memory and discovery, reality and imagination.
At the centre of his artistic inquiry lies the question of how we perceive reality and which frames of reference we use to understand it. Time, scale, distance and perspective do not appear as fixed values, but as shifting points of orientation. His works invite viewers to question familiar ways of seeing and to discover new perspectives on space, movement and transformation.
By combining digital and analogue processes, Pauschenwein creates works that unite precision and openness. Rather than providing answers, they function as invitations: to pause, to look more closely, and to reconsider the relationship between nature, humanity and technology.
